Medical Scholars Pipeline Program, Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell

About This Program

The Medical Scholars Pipeline Program (MSPP) at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell (ZSOM) is a three-year academic enrichment program for underrepresented in medicine (URM) students who show potential for pursuing a career in medicine. The long-term goal is to increase the number of underrepresented in medicine (URM) students graduating from professional healthcare programs who will ultimately provide care for patients. The MSPP Program is implemented at the Zucker School of Medicine and provides academic enrichment, opportunities to meet with ZSOM students and Northwell Health physicians, and guidance on how to pursue career goals. The program is in its fifteenth year. To date, 270 students have enrolled in the program and 133 students have completed the three-year program.
